Use of modern technology to serve JSSC’s strategic initiatives and projects

Keeping abreast of the-state-of-the-art technological applications to help ensure best implementation of the strategic initiatives and projects is one of the main objectives of the Jordanian Social Security Corporation (JSSC). To this end, JSSC involved the most relevant technological applications in implementing its Strategic Plan that mainly revolves around two key components: Extending Social Security to all and Excellence of Service Delivery. In the context of the former, JSSC used Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) in extending coverage based on geographical areas, and used Online Inquiry System in implementing JSSC Ambassador Projects.

As regards the latter component, however, new E-services were applied to achieve clients’ satisfaction-based initiatives:

  • cessation of annual certificate of pension entitlement,
  • annual Account Statements sent to the insured persons,
  • online submission of social security,
  • declarations by liaison officers of covered firms.

Results achieved so far reveal that JSSC succeeded in using technological applications to achieve these projects and initiatives. Such employment in general helped JSSC’s top management and work teams realize improvement in its corporate performance and ease burdens shouldered by JSSC and its clients.
