GOSI practices and experiences in Business IntelligenceThe General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has initiated a Business Intelligence (BI) program to ensure decision makers have the means to monitor and be alerted of daily business activities in real time as well as explore and analyze historical information.
The nature of social insurance business relies on predicting the future to maximize benefits for beneficiaries and planning to mitigate possible risks. With this in perspective and based on its responsibilities toward its clients beneficiaries, contributors or employers of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has initiated a Business Intelligence (BI) program to ensure decision makers have the means to monitor and be alerted of daily business activities in real time as well as explore and analyze historical information. The BI initiative was initially targeting the decision makers at GOSI to have "a single version of the truth" which links the different sectors together to aid in building GOSI’s strategies. However, the goal was extended to cover all aspects of GOSI activities from end-users to executives. Such move will always assure GOSI is providing high quality services to its clients during daily operations. The Business Intelligence have had reshaped GOSI’s approach of running the business, that it is because of it’s embedded intelligent to analyze the activities and forecast the future. Managers of the different business processes are equipped with more accurate, consistent and reliable information which makes performance and process management are based on facts that lead to more accurate decisions.
