Administrative and operational efficiencyWeb system / Finger print reader
a) Web system The Swaziland National Provident Fund (SNPF) has introduced a web system to collect contributions from employers and to provide easy access of information to members regarding their contributions and statement balances. The main objective was to bring the organization's services closer to the members and employers instead of making them come to the Fund's offices, even for information or services that do not necessarily require them to visit our offices. In this way, we have enhanced the efficient delivery of our services as well as made them more convenient for the members and employers.
b) Finger print reader The organization successfully negotiated with the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland to have access to the Government population register. This enabled the Fund to introduce an identity verification system using thumbprints, which is connected to the Government population register. The objective was to minimise the risk of paying fraudulent claimants. This has greatly enhanced the organization's identification processes and made them as accurate as they can be.
