Mr. Al Khater, President of Qatar’s General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority

The International Social Security Association has announced that Qatar will host the next World Social Security Forum, in November 2013.

The invitation to host the global event was made by Mr. Al Khater, President of Qatar’s General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority, during the closing ceremony of the World Social Security Forum, which completed its work on 4 December in Cape Town, South Africa.

“The invitation by the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority to host the next Forum corresponds to Qatar’s vision of comprehensive social security, which recognizes the human person as our most important asset,” said Mr. Al Khater.

“We look forward to welcoming the representatives of social security organizations from throughout the world.”

The World Social Security Forums are organized by the ISSA every three years, and are the largest international gatherings of social security policy-makers, Chief Executive Officers and social policy experts.
