4th Seminar of the ISSA Section on Education and Training for Prevention
ISSA, 31.05.2009 - 02.06.2009 | Lisbon, Portugal
For several years now, the ISSA Section on Education and Training for Prevention has focused its efforts on fostering a culture of occupational risk prevention among people under the age of 25, the incoming workforce and future employers.

he fourth seminar will be dedicated chiefly to the integration of occupational health and safety (OHS) best practices into orientation programs for young people entering the workforce. This training may be offered in a number of ways, such as during work placements as part of their studies, vocational training or on-the-job training.

Knowing that in almost every country, the frequency of workplace injuries is significantly higher among workers under 25 than for all other groups of workers, the International Section of the ISSA on Education and Training for Prevention has set up initiatives as part of a global movement to abolish this trend and shrink the generation gap.

The seminar is intended for professionals and decision-makers in the field of OHS, as well as for the occupational and vocational training community.

The event is open to ISSA member organizations and invited participants only.

For further information and registration please consult the seminar Website.
