19th Baltic Sea Conference on Social Security
06.09.2010 - 08.09.2010 | Svetlogorsk, Russian Federation
Kaliningrad arms
The 19th Baltic Sea Conference on Social Security will take place in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Region, Russian Federation, 7-9 September 2010.

The theme of the conference is Pension Systems' Evolution: Meeting State Liabilities. Since the start of the 21st century, pension systems in developed and developing countries have been exposed to two global challenges: demographic ageing and financial crises. These worldwide processes impact directly on both pay-as-you-go and funded pension schemes. The conference will debate issues related to the regulatory functions of the State in pension systems based on insurance principles.

The conference will be addressed by the ISSA Secretary General, Mr Hans-Horst Konkolewsky. The conference is organized by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.
