The International Section of the ISSA on Prevention in the Mining Industry consists of members engaged in occupational safety and health concerning quarrying, coal mining and tunneling operations. Private companies, public organizations, research institutes and experts on safety and health as well as occupational physicians all over the world belong to our section.

They profit from the international exchange on safety and health issues in the mining and quarrying branch and help to improve safety and health in co-operation with other experts.

Types of Membership

There are the following membership categories:

Ordinary member : You are either a member of the ISSA or belong to an organization that discharges the responsibilities of social security in the mining or mineral extracting industries.
Annual subscription: Swiss francs 500.
Institutions already being a full member of the ISSA will not pay any contributions to ISSA Mining.

Corresponding member : You are an organization whose aims are compatible with those of our section.
Annual subscription: Swiss francs 500.

Expert member : You are an expert on mining, work safety and health protection.
Annual subscription: Swiss francs 100.
