Michael Vassiliadis, head of the German labour union for mining, the chemical industry and energy
Innovations in safe transport, noise reduction, and fall protection -- just three out of 16 winning ideas which have been honoured with BG RCI's Award Work - Safety - Health. Established in 1997, the award collects ideas to improve safety and health at the workplace and called out to 1.3 employees in 35,000 businesses insured with the German accicent insurance carrier and prevention service provider for the chemical and the raw material industry. 100,000 Euros have been awarded to the winners for their outstanding ideas.
The creativity of the winners has been valued in the addresses of Michael Vassiliadis, head of the German labour union for mining, the chemical industry and energy, and publicist Joachim Gauck, known to many Germans as runner-up for the position as Federal president in 2010.
