Buzzi Unicem's Geseke plant awarded the gold plaque for work safety

During the last 20 years, the Geseke cement plant in Germany recorded zero work accidents a year eleven times. The German Cement Association (VDZ) awarded this rearkable performance with a golden plaque, handed to the plant’s production manager Theodor Grosse-Frie.

The VDZ safety competition has been initiated in 1974, encouraging cement plant employees to raise their level of safety-consciousness. For the 2009 awards, the VDZ selected seven cement plants.
