The ISSA Liaison Office for the Southern Cone of the Americas provides services to ISSA member organizations and collaborates with social security organizations in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Social Security Week 2011: Promoting a Global Prevention Culture

The first Social Security Week in the Americas took place from 27 to 29 April 2011 in Mexico City, in the presence of representatives of the Mexican Government and international organizations. Based on the Declaration of Guatemala, the purpose of this event was to promote collaboration and dialogue in the Americas region, and to encourage the development of inclusive social protection systems.
